Individual Counseling/Therapy - Individual therapy is a process through
which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist - in a safe caring
confidential environment- to explore their feelings, beliefs and behaviors, work
through challenging and influential memories, identify aspects of their life
they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal
goals, and work toward desired change. People seek therapy for a wide variety of
reasons, from coping with major life changes or childhood trauma, to dealing with
depression or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self knowledge.
A client and therapist may work together for as few as five or six sessions or as long as several years, depending on the client's unique needs and personal goals for therapy.

Assessment - Clinical assessments are available for most mental health disorders, personality disorders, personal, family and other relational difficulties. Educational assessments are also available related to diagnosis of learning disabilities and attention-deficit hyper-activity disorders. Finally, a variety of assessment materials are available related to career development and vocational decision-making.

Assessments are often suggested or required by insurance companies and may also aid your therapist, doctors and other professionals in the coordination of the treatment process for those providing help. There are sometimes additional fees required for clinical assessment and these would be discussed with you prior to the process.

Psychological Testing - Educational, cognitive, diagnostic and psychological testing are offered to identify and better understand attention difficulties and/or ADHD, learning difficulties, mood or anxiety symptoms, and other symptoms or diagnoses. Learn more about testing.

Career Services - Glen Haven offers workshops and individual counseling sessions focused on career decision-making tools. In addition, individual assessment of career interests and skills utilizing several helpful measurement tools and questionnaires techniques are available. This process allows individuals to process the three critical stages of the career evaluation process through exploration, information and action.

Spiritual Gifts - Individuals who are interested in receiving specific, direct feedback about their spiritual gifts can do so through a directed questionnaire regarding their experiences of their life and their faith. Several ecumenical tools and questionnaires are used to guide this process.
